BEST REALTOR EVER! Wish we could give 10 stars for this review. Trina is truly the best and my husband and I feel grateful for everything she has done for us since the beginning. My husband and I have been checking out open houses in the Lakewood/Long Beach area for months hoping to find that one we can call our own. We began the search on our own. Trina was the realtor for one of the open houses that we visited and after briefly talking to her, my husband and I asked if she was accepting any new clients. We were very impressed with her expertise of the market just by listening to what she had to say at the open house. You can immediately tell that Trina has put in years of experience in this industry and she has built accountability with other clients as well. We felt Trina was the perfect fit for us. As new clients, Trina had us meet in her office to discuss the details of our needs and wants of a home. After looking at multiple homes prior to meeting Trina, my husband and I already had ideas of what we considered as a priorities for a new home. Trina gave us great insight on what to expect and what we should be aiming for when it comes to looking for a home. As first time homebuyers, we started off knowing little information about the market and Trina spent quality time with us to explain everything. She educated and guided us through this process. In concerns of communication via email or cell phone, she is reliable and prompt about answering questions thoroughly. She was always in constant contact with us and on-time at meeting you for houses that fit your schedule. Even after a couple months or so, Trina kept on encouraging my husband and I to not give up. It just seemed like there was nothing out there for us. We questioned Trina if we should expand our search to other cities surrounding our preferred location. Trina was patient to help us look for homes around there, also. My husband and I finally came across a beautiful home that we were highly interested in and checked out their open house on the weekend. Trina managed to get in touch with the realtor for that house beforehand saying that my husband and I were going to stop by. She has many connections which were very helpful to get what needs to be done for the house. We wanted to put in an offer immediately and Trina walked us through,step-by-step, on what to do next. After almost a week of waiting, our offer was accepted and we were ecstatic. It did not take long for escrow to close as Trina and her team made it possible for us to have a smooth transaction. Along with her skills as a realtor, she has a friendly personality which made us feel comfortable working with her, also. She is dependable, quick at getting business matters done, trustworthy, and very organized. We felt very fortunate that we had the privilege to work with Trina. If we ever plan on purchasing another home, we will definitely have her as our realtor again.

Several years ago, we contacted Speedy to locate a very specific condo for a family member who lived in California. We contacted Speedy and we discussed what we were looking for and he set up an email alert to send anytime a listing matched our criteria. This went on for some time as none seemed to really match what our family member was seeking. Speedy periodically contacted us if there was anything he could assist us with finding just the right place. Fast forward, and our family member passed. Not being from the area, we interviewed multiple realtors to sell her current condo. Not being too impressed with the first few we interviewed, Speedy happened to be the last person we interviewed. Within 5 minutes, my wife and I said to ourselves, “THIS IS THE GUY!!!” Speedy spent time talking to us about himself, his history, and what he thought of the area. Speedy pointed out items he was concerned would be called out during the inspection and sure enough, he was SPOT ON with his predictions. He took his time with us. He received several calls during the interview and either disregarded the call or said he would call right back as he was with a client. My wife and I didn’t even need to discuss it, we signed with him on the spot! With us living out of state, he coordinated all the repairs, carpet, and painting. He created a video and took pictures of the condo with staged furnishings to make it look like a home vs. an empty condo. Throughout the entire process, she's been nothing but helpful and very patient in what was going on. Regardless of the time or day, she was there to answer all of our questions and address our concerns. She made us feel comfortable with the home buying process, and when we face obstacles, she was there to console us and assure us that it was all going to be fine. We were constantly calling or texting Marise, asking her if we could see this house or request information on another house, and she would be so quick to respond.
But above all, we trusted her. She told us if the property wasn't worth the time, and if we didn't agree with her, she would bring up other options we could choose. After the transaction was done, and we closed our new home, we were nervous about things going wrong, like the leaky plumbing, Marise was quick to get on the phone and let the seller know, and the seller sent someone right away to address the issue.
The only time where there were any problems was when we had to deal with our bank SchoolsFirst FCU, there were just so many hiccups. We had never had an issue with the bank in any other aspect. For the first time, we almost decided to not go through with the loan because Renee Reynolds kept giving us mixed information. When we would talk to Marise about it, she was really helpful with providing us with other contacts for different stages of the loan. We ended up talking to over five people and two of those people actually went on 2-3 week vacations without sending us an email to let me know or even by placing an away message on their email when we were in the process of putting an offer in. It was only until we talked to Israel Frias, again Marise gave us the contact for this person, that we got a better loan offer than what we were originally quoted for. There was so much negligence and if we were not persistent we really think that we were not going to be able to get the house. In addition, hours before the close of escrow, our final wire from SchoolsFirstFCU didn't go through and we had another stressful time. Again, if Marise didn't help to guide us through this process and with her experience and her knowledge we never could have gotten the house.
Marise, thank you for all your help and time. We hope to cross paths with you again some day, and share memories of how you helped us purchase our first home. You were amazing, thanks again.

I was assigned an agent through my credit union, and he dropped me when he found out I was a first time buyer coming in at the bottom of the market in LA. In the crazy overinflated LA market, all I was able to afford was a fixer. The credit union then assigned me to Marise, and I was immediately afraid she would drop me as well. During our first conversation, she listened to my situation and reassured me that she would help me find the perfect house.
On the first day we looked at two duds I found online. She then surprised me by showing me a fixer with good curb appeal, lots of natural light, and potential. When I found out it was way above my budget, I was disappointed. What I didn't know is that it was sitting on the market for over 100 days and was way overpriced. We put in a lowball offer on the "bright fixer", and it was rejected.
We looked at a lot of other places for several weeks. The LA market is notorious for low inventory and crazy overinflation. There were a lot of duds, and the houses I put offers on had multiple offers. Welcome to LA real-estate.
After a few months, we decided to put in another lowball offer on the bright fixer. After some back-and-forth, Marise negotiated with the seller to accept the offer.
It has been almost one year, and the house has a new roof/gutters, new kitchen, new heater, functional electrical, plumbing, and heat. After a few more projects I am confident we will be able to sell this house for its full value, which is $150K above what we paid for it.

It was not an open house; she happened to be there looking at the vacant home and was on her way out.
I introduced myself and asked if she had time to show me the house, and she said yes! I was actually surprised since most realtors are usually in a hurry and would request an appointment. She stayed in touch with me and emailed me listings often. When I saw the house I wanted, she was always happily available.
